This sterling silver kayak paddle blade amulet was designed and created by Idaho silversmith/river guide JC Caccia.The designs on both sides depict images of 400 year old Ojibwqay pictographs found along the shores of Hegman Lake in Northern Minnesota.
The moose is powerful medicine, associated with land and water. The canoe/boat with the four passengers is an unusual and intriguing pictograph. The canoe bow has a mouth, implying that it is a breathing, living thing!
