What's John up to?

John is still involved in maintaining the top-quality of all silver jewelry offered at MATC and will continue making the popular custom-fitted braided leather bracelets and keyrings.

He has recently moved from Ketchum onto a 25 acre farm property along the Snake River in Southern Idaho (10 miles from the nearest town) where he also works part-time growing garlic, saving seeds, planting trees and stewarding bees.  If you wish to discuss a custom bolo idea or check-in to say “Howdy” his email address is still: jc (at) mountainangels.com .

A letter from John

Dear Friends,

The jewelry pieces and hand-braided leather goods featured in the Mountain Angels Trading Co collection represent the best of the past twenty-nine years of my silversmithing and leather braiding.  Since my favorite work is the fashioning of western bola ties, I often describe myself as a "bolosmith."  I am also a boatman, campfire musician, Permaculture Design certified gardener, environmental activist, beekeeper, student of life, and grateful father of 2 young men sons.

Archetypal forms, pictographs, symbolic icons, personal experiences, and totem images found along the "Shiny Trail" influence many of the jewelry designs, amulets, and bolos which I create.  When making jewelry, one of my main goals is to infuse Chi, or life force, into each piece I make.  Most of my jewelry products include a written text of information, which help to interpret the significance of a petroglyph, shape, symbol or spiritual icon.  I hope that you find my jewelry designs attractive, personally meaningful, and empowering...

                                                                                       Sincerely,

                                                                                       John "JC" Caccia
